Sundays in Colonial Williamsburg
Sundays are church days. Many people call it the day of rest. You are not supposed to do anything else except for church and rest. No games. If you doze off in church a tithingman comes and tickle you with a feather. If you do it again he bonks you on the head. If you do it again you get sent to the stockades. The stockades are in the middle of town so everyone can look at you.
My Home
I am in the middling sort. Middlings don't have bricks on their houses. As you can see no bricks
- Middling sort houses had.......
- No brick (besides chimney)
- At the most only 2 floors
- You were lucky if you had window panes
- Sometimes had flowers under your window
- Only had about 4 rooms
